Sandhurst Urology is proud to offer the services of Dave, Nurse Practitioner, who is an integral part of our patient care team. Dave’s career in health commenced in 1999 and he initially worked on an orthopedic/surgical unit for several years. In 2006 he commenced post graduate studies in intensive care nursing, after numerous years in ICU he was accepted into a graduate diploma course for paramedicine which led to a career with Ambulance Victoria as a paramedic for several years.
Dave has extensive experience in oncology and was Bendigo's inaugural specialist prostate cancer nurse, commencing training at Bendigo Health in 2012. He completed his Masters degree, Nurse Practitioner training at the end of 2016 with a focus on uro-oncology, erectile dysfunction and prostate health.
Dave was one of the twelve original positions nationally with the Movember organization, funded by Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) for specialist Prostate cancer nurses. Over the years his role has grown to include bladder and renal cell cancer as well as prostate cancer.
Dave works closely with Rohan regarding all patient care and management. Together they offer holistic care for a wide range of urological conditions.
